  • 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts

Steps:

Step 1: We’ll start by preparing the filling. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté the onion until it’s golden brown. Then, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Incorporate the pine nuts and walnuts and cook for a few minutes. Add the cinnamon, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2: Rinse the bulgur wheat in a colander and drain it well. Then, place it in a large bowl and mix it with the ground lamb, chopped onion, cumin, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix everything.

Step 3: Now, it’s time to assemble the Kibbeh. Take small portions of the bulgur and meat mixture in the palm of your hand and form flat disks. In the center of each disk, place a spoonful of the beef filling you prepared earlier. Then, close the edges of the disk so that the beef filling is in the center, creating an elongated croquette-like shape. Repeat this process until you’ve used up the mixture.

Step 4: Heat enough oil in a deep skillet to fry the Kibbeh. Ensure the oil is hot. Fry the Kibbeh until they are golden and crispy on the outside.
